The postie came today

My latest win arrived today thanks to Carman's Kitchen, Facebook competitions are my favourite due to how quick and easy they are to enter. When I go on my competition hunt to share with all my lovely likers and website/ blog followers, Facebook is the first place I look.

I enjoy my daily little hunt since I not only discover great Australian competitions but I discover great products from amazing small and large businesses. I'm hoping to review some of the products I discover on my competition hunt in the near future.

Please leave a comment below on what type of products you would love to read reviews about.

As you most likely noticed I like to keep my blog posts short and sweet, so I'm off to read my copy of Women's Health and enjoy a coffee and this Carmen's gourmet protein bar.

Happy Tuesday compers x

Monday Blues

I really do dislike Mondays!

Today I have no motivation, back to school, make lunches, take son to school, entertain a toddler and pre-schooler with minimal sleep. I guess that is my own fault, I have just discovered Gossip Girl LMAO, yes I know a few years too late.

So after having a Gossip girl first season marthon thinking I was only going to watch one episode the next thing I know its 1.30am in the morning. The problem is I have a complete electronic ban in my bedroom which has been working well and I have been sleeping great. I broke this rule lastnight by putting the spare TV in my room to relax while watching Gossip Girl. I kind of kept to my rule, no clock, no ipad, no laptop ect. And this is why I had no idea of the time till I went down stairs to grab a drink.

Good news is the TV is out of my bedroom and I'm back to my bedroom electronic ban, the bad news is I think I love Gossip Girl! So those who know who Gossip Girl is shhhhh! hehe

So who else has a electronc ban in the bedroom?

Happy Monday compers- I will try and make mine better, now where is that coffee, time to hunt us down some great Australian competitions.

A little win today

As you know I love to enter competitions, but I only enter ones I want to win, no point entering a competition if you won't use or love the prize- where is the fun in that? No matter how big or small I'm very grateful.

Mumma Loves Comps, well under my real name entered Facebook competition on the Carman's Kitchen page to win 1 of 40 Women's Health current issue. I love Facebook competitions since they just take a second to like, share, comment. This one was to answer the question-
If you were on the cover of Women’s Health, what would your headline be? So simple and a way people can express themselves.

Competitions to watch out for

And this is why I created Mumma Loves Comps!

When you see a competition do you read the terms and conditions?

I didn't when I first started entering online competitions, big mistake! Take that extra few minutes to read them and see what will happen to your personal information by agreeing to the T&C.

The first "sell your information" competition I entered was a huge wake up call, I was receiving phone calls from companies I didn't agree to be calling me, no matter how many times I said I wasn't interested or please remove me from your call list, they kept calling!

This blog post will show you the type of competition to keep away from.

Oh look the chance to win a $2,000 gift card! Looks quick and easy to enter- but the devil is in the detail and those are the terms and conditions that companies that are clearly not associated with a well known brand such as Barbeques galore (which would run their own competition) are hoping you will not read the fine print.

Now lets take a closer look at these T&C's-

Now lets look at this- competitions like this one state they send your information to companies worldwide and also collect information from other sources such as browser information and cookies.

You are also agreeing that your personal information maybe used for a indefinite period or until you opt out, which is the kicker since its almost completely impossible to opt out!!

This company also states that it is not affiliated with or sponsored by or even endorsed by the companies it uses to drag you in to get your personal information to sell on to other companies.

This is why I don't share these types of competitions, I honestly don't even think they draw a winner, there isn't even a place you can see recent winners, so please check the T&C's. No business would endorse a competition like this.

Safe comping all and read the fine print x

Comment below if you have been scammed or annoyed by non-stop calls after entering a competition.

My first ever blog post!

My first ever blog post! How exciting :) I will make this a short but I think this is the perfect time to introduce myself and explain what Mumma Loves Comps is all about.

Firstly about me- My name is Sarah, I have three beautiful children, we are located in Australia and are enjoying this ride called life. I enjoy entering competitions, trying out new products and reading-writing reviews.I personally only enter competitions that I know I will use and love.

Mumma Loves Comps is a page that shares the latest Australian competitions, samples and freebies. I started the page after getting frustrated after entering a competition which was held by someone that sold my information to marketers and I was receiving every day phone calls for months! So to save the hassle for others I am dedicated to finding the best and latest competitions that are legit, won't sell your information and only contact you if you win.

As they say "you got to be in it, to win it", stay tuned by liking our Facebook page.
